Our 100-hour program meets the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM) guidelines and requirements. The training provides at least 65 hours of classroom instruction and 35 hours of home study.

We offer basic and advanced PMU cosmetic tattoo training at our 1300 sqm. modern accredited training studio located in historic downtown Montclair, New Jersey, including apprenticeship programs.
Becoming an American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM) Board Certified artist is a requirement to practice permanent makeup in the state of New Jersey according to NJ.gov.
The certification process starts by taking a Fundamental 100 hours course from an AAM Board Certified Trainer, followed by 15 apprenticeships (5 Eyebrows, 5 Eyes and 5 Lip Procedures).
If enrolled in the training program, you will only have to pay for 9 additional procedures at $400 per procedure with 6 procedures that count towards your apprenticeship completed during class. Upon completion of these steps, you must take the test directly ONLINE with the American Academy of Micropigmentation to obtain your certification.
